Artist Description:
A lifelong resident of Kentucky where she worked and raised her son, Barbara earned a Master of Art/English Education degree from the University of the Cumberlands and in 1990 began a twenty year career teaching art in the Corbin Independent School system. Now retired, Barbara paints full time often depicting the simplicity of her Southern Appalachian upbringing. She is currently the president of the Mountain Heritage Artisans Guild.
